At our half year earnings in November 2019, we announced Xero is taking action towards a net zero carbon footprint – we are calling this Net Zero.
As part of this, Xero is committing to offset 100% of our carbon emissions for the year to 31 March 2019 and going forward.
We look to include but not exclusive of:
- Facilities (energy consumption, waste, water & paper)
- Employee commute
- Data centre usage (through partners)
- Building services
- Major events & related merchandise
- Travel
We are also considering how we can reduce our carbon emissions, including looking at expanding our responsible use travel policies for our employees and encouraging further use of our video and teleconference meetings.
We will share more details about how we’ve chosen to offset our carbon footprint and other environmental projects in the coming months.
